AS IF THERE was ever any doubt about how cool David Pocock was, the brilliant Australian back row is proving it again this week with his choice of holiday.
Rather than simply hit the beach or some big city shopping destination like your average sporting superstar, Pocock is taking on some serious looking work and training in the country of his birth, Zimbabwe.
Pocock is training with the Malingwe Scouts, working for a non-profit trust to protect wildlife and ecosystems from poachers and other man-made threats.
Whatever way you slice it, this must be heavy going in an African summer.
That’s how the poacher turned gamekeeper stays ripped!
Of course, it was more than just trekking around, tracking white rhino the kept Pocock in mean shape during the off-season. He’s getting regular work-outs in whenever he can too.
What a guy.
